About Us
Fresh Food & Less Food Miles!

McGinty’s is a family run business that has been serving the Ross-shire public since 2003. At its helm are a father and son team Alastair and Ewen Hamilton.
Alastair has 30 years experience in the food industry. A former restaurateur, he has held a range of posts in catering, fishing and fish processing industries.
Some 25 years younger, his son Ewen, learned his trade as a chef in a number of Michelin rated kitchens, both in Scotland and further afield, before returning to the family business.
At McGinty’s we understand the importance of fully playing a part in the community we operate within. That is why we work with first class local food producers. The food is fresher, the food miles are less and we support local businesses and jobs in our supply chain.
- Our burgers are hand produced by Munro Butchers of Dingwall
- Our fish is sustainably sourced and locally landed- either in Scrabster or the fishing ports along the north east Scottish coast;
- Our scampi is made in Tain and
- Our potatoes are sourced in Moray.
